Dress a Bear lets you build a scene by moving pictures on a screen. Dress a bear comes with lots of clothes, friends, and shapes for creating a background. Shapes can be made larger or smaller, rotated and flipped. When you drag most shapes the name of the shape is spoken and displayed in Spanish (it can be set to English as well). When you tap on it, the English word is shown. This helps teach reading and speaking in English or Spanish. A scene can be saved or emailed as a card. The email contains the text and picture of the card, but also includes the card file, so that friends who have DressABear may load it and see it in the app, including any animated shapes.

Shapes can be resized and rotated by touching, but tool buttons allow more control, or to manipulate animated shapes which can be hard to get ahold of. The Tool buttons lets you:

Enlarge the shape size
Shrink the shape size
Enlarge horizontally
Shrink horizontally
Enlarge vertically
Shrink vertically
Rotate counter clockwise
Rotate clockwise
Move the shape towards the back
Move the shape towards the front
Flip vertically
Flip horizontally
Return the shape to its original state
Select the next shape (selected shape will have have red frame)
Select the previous image
Remove the selection box (it will still be selected)
Delete the image from the screen.

Arrow buttons allow nudging the shape or moving it in the arrow direction.
